vroom vroom... the little car

The Appeal

It was a spring day the middle of January
When the sun lit the lampshade of the clouds
Yet, I sat beneath a concrete sky
And faced a blue square of moving pixels
Though the outside hit the sixties
My heart was just below thirty two
As the deadlines clipped at my heels
And the interview stewed my anxieties

I thought “Tis but one life”
“Shall I but dwell in strife?”
And jumped out into the trees
To hear the nature's pleas
To come and to frolic
And no longer be stoic

Mother, father, Tis why I failed my finals
